We organize golf skills challenges at our academies every three weeks. Golfers compete within their age group in 5 different skills to earn ranking points to move up the merit list. After 12 competitions over a period of 8 months, the ranking points from the best 8 competitions are added up for each golfer to determine his/her final position on the Annual Order of Merit within his/her age group. The top 5 in the Order of Merit in each age group qualify to represent the school at regional championships. The top 3 individuals in each age group at each regional championship qualify for the national championship. Also, the top 3 school teams at each regional championship qualify for national championship for a shot at the team championship.
Golfers compete in 6 different age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. Girls compete with boys in their respective age groups.
Golfers are tested in following five skills at each level i.e. school, regional, and national championship: Putting, Chipping from the Fringe, Bunker Shots, Bump and Run Shots from about 40-50 yards, Pitch Shots with a lofted club from about 40-50 yards.
